I’m Chelsey Kaye, a SAG-AFTRA actor, writer, director, and producer based in Los Angeles.

I grew up in Boulder, Colorado, started out as a dancer, and studied astrophysics before pivoting into film. I trained at places like Bevery Hills Playhouse, Margie Haber, Second City, and Groundlings, and I bring a disciplined, emotionally connected approach to every role, whether I’m in front of the camera or behind it.

As an actor, I’ve worked in television and indie film, with a focus on grounded, character-driven work. I’m repped by Tiffin Creative Talent, and I’m a local hire in LA, New York, and Atlanta.

I recently wrote and directed my first short film, Still Here, which is currently in post-production. It’s a quiet, emotionally charged story about grief and the opioid crisis, made possible by an incredible team of collaborators and supporters. I was also recently featured in a Bold Journey interview, where I spoke about the transition from acting to directing and what drew me to filmmaking in the first place.

I’m currently writing new projects and continuing to develop as both a performer and filmmaker. I care about stories that feel honest, intentional, and emotionally specific.
